Description
[2-[[4-[(2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl)azo]phenyl]ethylamino]ethyl]trimethylammonium is a dark red powder with a water solubility of 30 g/L at 60°C. It exhibits a strong reaction with sulfuric acid, changing color from dark red to light yellow, and when diluted, it turns red. [2-[[4-[(2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl)azo]phenyl]ethylamino]ethyl]trimethylammonium is used as an acrylic dye, imparting a dark red hue to the material it is applied to. It maintains its color even at high temperatures of up to 120°C. The dye solution should not be boiled, and it has a compatibility value of three and an f value of 0.39.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:

It provides excellent light fastness (ISO 6-7, AATCC 6-7), perspiration fastness (ISO 4-5, AATCC 5), ironing fastness (ISO 5, AATCC 5), and soaping (ISO 3-4, AATCC 3). It also demonstrates good resistance to fading and staining, making it suitable for direct printing on acrylic fabric.
