167263-11-8 Usage

General Description

N-BOC-4-Benzyl-4-piperidinecarboxylic acid is a chemical compound used in the synthesis of organic and pharmaceutical compounds. It is a derivative of piperidinecarboxylic acid, a common building block in the synthesis of numerous drugs. The N-BOC (N-tert-butyloxycarbonyl) group is a protective group used in organic synthesis to temporarily mask the reactivity of a functional group. In this compound, the N-BOC group is attached to the nitrogen atom of the piperidine ring and the benzyl group is attached to the carboxylic acid. N-BOC-4-BENZYL-4-PIPERIDINECARBOXYLIC ACID can be used as a building block for the synthesis of various pharmaceuticals and organic compounds.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 167263-11-8 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,6,7,2,6 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 167263-11:
(8*1)+(7*6)+(6*7)+(5*2)+(4*6)+(3*3)+(2*1)+(1*1)=138
138 % 10 = 8
So 167263-11-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Harnessing Applied Potential: Selective β-Hydrocarboxylation of Substituted Olefins

supporting information, (2020/02/13)

The construction of carboxylic acid compounds in a selective fashion from low value materials such as alkenes remains a long-standing challenge to synthetic chemists. In particular, β-addition to styrenes is underdeveloped. Herein we report a new electrosynthetic approach to the selective hydrocarboxylation of alkenes that overcomes the limitations of current transition metal and photochemical approaches. The reported method allows unprecedented direct access to carboxylic acids derived from β,β-trisubstituted alkenes, in a highly regioselective manner.
