Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 185623-66-9 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,8,5,6,2 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 185623-66:
(8*1)+(7*8)+(6*5)+(5*6)+(4*2)+(3*3)+(2*6)+(1*6)=159
159 % 10 = 9
So 185623-66-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Isonitroso(2-methylthiazol-4-yl)acetamide
Domasevich,Sieler
, p. 1326 - 1329 (2007/10/03)
The synthesis and crystal structure of a new thiazole derivative, isonitroso(2-methylthiazol-4-yl)-acetamide are described. Crystals of this compound are rhombic, space group P 212121 with the unit cell parameters a 5226(1), b 11.464(2), c 13.378(3) A, V 801.5(3) A3, pcalc 1.535 g cm-3. The structure is refined until the divergence factors R1 0.028 and ωR2 0.074, basing on 2027 independent reflections with I > 2σ(I). Molecule is strongly nonplanar, the oxyme group having syn configuration in relation to the 4-thiazolyl substituent. Peculiarities of the crystal structure are discussed.
