PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially easily and advantageously producing a cyclohexanecarbaldehyde. SOLUTION: This method for producing the cyclohexanecarbaldehyde comprises (A) a process for hydrogenating the nucleus of a benzaldehyde dialkyl acetal in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst into the cyclohexanecarbaldehyde dialkyl acetal and (B) a process for hydrolyzing the cyclohexanecarbaldehyde dialkyl acetal obtained in the process (A) into the cyclohexanecarbaldehyde.
