Reactions of the haloamide 1a with diethylamine and morpholine furnish, in addition to the ipso substitution products 1d and 1e, para (2a, 2c) and ortho (2b, 2d) substituted compounds.In the reaction of haloamide 1a with benzylamine at room temperature the substitution products 1f, 2e and 6 were obtained.Substantial amounts of the SET product 1b were formed when the latter reaction was carried out in refluxing benzene.
