Usage

General Description

Rac Cinacalcet HCl is a chemical compound that acts as a calcium-sensing receptor agonist. It is used in the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic kidney disease as well as in the management of hypercalcemia in patients with parathyroid carcinoma and primary hyperparathyroidism. Rac Cinacalcet HCl works by increasing the sensitivity of the calcium-sensing receptor in the parathyroid gland, thus reducing the secretion of parathyroid hormone and subsequently lowering serum calcium levels. It is available in tablet form for oral administration and is typically prescribed under the brand name Sensipar. Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, and caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures or those taking other medications that can prolong the QT interval. A PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF CINACALCET AND ITS SALTS
