Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1033418-48-2 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,0,3,3,4,1 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1033418-48:
(9*1)+(8*0)+(7*3)+(6*3)+(5*4)+(4*1)+(3*8)+(2*4)+(1*8)=112
112 % 10 = 2
So 1033418-48-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Flow microwave technology and microreactors in synthesis

Baxendale, Ian R.,Hornung, Christian,Ley, Steven V.,De Mata Munoz Molina, Juan,Wikstroem, Anders

, p. 131 - 144 (2013/03/28)

A bespoke microwave reactor with a glass containment cell has been developed for performing continuous flow reactions under microwave heating. The prototype unit has been evaluated using a series of standard organic chemical transformations enabling scale-up of these chemical processes. As part of the development, a carbon-doped PTFE reactor insert was utilized to allow the heating of poorly absorbing reaction media, increasing the range of solvents and scope of reactions that can be performed in the device.

A modular flow reactor for performing Curtius rearrangements as a continuous flow process

Baumann, Marcus,Baxendale, Ian R.,Ley, Steven V.,Nikbin, Nikzad,Smith, Christopher D.,Tierney, Jason P.

experimental part, p. 1577 - 1586 (2008/10/09)

The use of a mesofluidic flow reactor is described for performing Curtius rearrangement reactions of carboxylic acids in the presence of diphenylphosphoryl azide and trapping of the intermediate isocyanates with various nucleophiles. The Royal Society of Chemistry 2008.
