Reactions of phosphaketene 2 with 1,2-bis(trimethylsilyl)diphosphanes 3a-c yield valence-stable tetraphospha-1,5-hexadienes 5a-c.Representatives of the tetraphosphahexadiene spezies with trimethylsiloxy groups in position 2 and 5 did not exist before.One diastereomer of 5a and one of 5b could be isolated.The molecular structure of meso-5b was determined by X-ray analysis.An isomerization of the examined pure diastereomers was not observed.The non-stereo selective run of the reactions is discussed.
