The invention relates to the technical field of organic synthesis, and provides a synthesis method of 2, 3-dichloro-2-methylpropionic acid. The synthesis method comprises the following steps: mixing achlorine saturated solution, a Lewis acid catalyst and a compound with a structure represented by formula I, and introducing chlorine to carry out a chlorination reaction in order to obtain the 2, 3-dichloro-2-methylpropionic acid. The 2, 3-dichloro-2-methylpropionic acid is directly synthesized by adopting a one-step method, the process operation is simple and convenient, the reaction process isgreen and environment-friendly, and the requirement of large-scale industrial production is met; and the chlorination reaction can be carried out at room temperature or near room temperature insteadof ultralow temperature, and the selected Lewis acid catalyst is a common catalyst, and is small in dosage, high in raw material conversion rate and small in the influence on the environment. Resultsof the embodiment show that when the method is used for preparing the 2, 3-dichloro-2-methylpropionic acid, the yield can reach 81.3%, and the product purity reaches 99.5%.

1,2,3-Thiadiazole-2-id-derivative of the formula STR1 in which R1 is hydrogen or alkyl which may be substituted in one or several places by oxygen or sulfur and wherein R1 has the meaning as given in the attached specification and wherein X is oxygen or sulfur and B is a univalent metal atom. The compounds have properties suited for controlling the natural growth and natural development of plants and in addition have a superior defoliating property.
