General Description
"(E)-3-amino-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-methylacrylonitrile" is a chemical compound with complex molecular structure. The presence of elements such as carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen is suggested by its nomenclature. The "E" in its name refers to the geometric isomerism (trans isomer), pointing to the spatial arrangement of the chemical groupings. The term "methoxyphenyl" refers to a phenyl group (aromatic ring of carbon atoms) which is attached to a methoxy group (an oxygen atom linked with a methyl group). "Methylacrylonitrile" suggests a nitrile group (-CN), a methyl group (CH3), and the presence of a double bond present in the acrylonitrile part of the molecule. This chemical structure determines the physical, chemical, and bioactive properties of this compound, which is potentially used in industrial and scientific research.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1050392-15-8 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,0,5,0,3,9 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1050392-15:
(9*1)+(8*0)+(7*5)+(6*0)+(5*3)+(4*9)+(3*2)+(2*1)+(1*5)=108
108 % 10 = 8
So 1050392-15-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

scheme or table, p. 2514 - 2517 (2012/05/05)
The disclosed 3-phenyl-5-isothiazole carboxamides are potent allosteric antagonists of mGluR1 with generally good selectivity relative to the related group 1 receptor mGluR5. Pharmacokinetic properties of a member of this series (1R,2R)-N-(3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-4-methylisothiazol-5-yl)-2- methylcyclopropanecarboxamide (14) are good, showing acceptable plasma and brain exposure after oral dosing. Oral administration of isothiazole 14 gave robust activity in the formalin model of persistent pain which correlated with CNS receptor occupancy.
