Synthesis of a new series of tricentred diborosiloxanes has been accomplished.On refluxing oxybis(diacetatoborane)diphenylsilanediol and some dibasic tridentate schiff bases in equimolar ratio in dry toluene, compounds of the general formula (where L = azine, dithiocarbazate, semi- or thiosemi-carbazone) have been isolated.These are obtained as coloured solids which are soluble in DMF and DMSO.Their structural elucidation has been carried out on the basis of elemental analyses, IR and NMR (1H and 11B) spectral studies.
