N-Substituted amides of 2-oxo-1-pyrrolidineacetic acid were obtained.Bis-amides were reduced with activated sodium borohydride.Depending on the time of the reaction, products of reduction of one or both amide grouping were obtained.Their structures were established by the elemental and spectral (IR, UV, 1H NMR, MS) analyses.
