Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 106210-80-4 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,0,6,2,1 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 106210-80:
(8*1)+(7*0)+(6*6)+(5*2)+(4*1)+(3*0)+(2*8)+(1*0)=74
74 % 10 = 4
So 106210-80-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Use of Michael Additions to (Ph2P)2C=CH2 Complexes to prepare Thiophene- and Pyrrole-functionalised Metal-Phosphine Complexes

King, Geoff,Higgins, Simon J.,Hopton, Andrew

, p. 3403 - 3410 (2007/10/02)

The complex 1a undergoes nucleophilic addition at the double bond with primary alcohols to afford > 2 .These were not isolated pure, but metathesis with NaI gave the corresponding diiodides 3, which were isolated, and have been fully characterised by microanalysis and infrared and NMR ((1)H and (31)P-) spectroscopies.By using 2-(3-thienyl)ethanol as the nucleophile, the complex > 3c was obtained, and its electrochemistry examined. The reactivity of the double bond in 1a towards other potential weak nucleophiles has been examined. In particular, pyrrole underwent electrophilic addition with 1a to give, after work-up with NaI, > 4b.Proton NMR spectroscopy established that 4b was a mixture of 2- and 3-pyrrole isomers (ca. 3:1).The complexes (M = Pd 1c or Pt 1d) were less reactive, but underwent addition with alcohols in the presence of NEt3 as catalyst to afford > (M = Pd 5 or Pt 6, R = Et or CH2CH2C4H3S-3).The complex 2 7 has been prepared from , vdpp and AgPF6 in dichloromethane-acetonitrile.Details of the reaction of 7 with 2-(3-thienyl)ethanol are given. The crystal structure of 3c has been determined.

The High Activation of (Ph2P)2C=CH2 by Palladium Acetate or Palladium Chloride towards Additions

Herring, Andrew M.,Higgins, Simon J.,Jacobsen, Grant B.,Shaw, Bernard L.

, p. 882 - 883 (2007/10/02)

Palladium acetate very highly activates co-ordinated (Ph2P)2C=CH2 towards additions of amines, hydrazines, amino acid esters, alcohols, phenols, thiols, acetylacetone, and acetoacetic ester; palladium chloride also activates but less strongly: additionall
