The reaction of polyfluorinated β-diketones with tetraphosphorus decasulfide and potassium carbonate in acetonitrile is accompanied by the condensation to Z-4-methyl-6-perfluoroalkyl-2-(perfluorothioacylmethylene)-2H-thiopyrans.The structures of these compounds were demonstrated by x-ray crystallography.In this reaction polyfluorinated β-ketoesters give the corresponding 1,2-dithiolene-3-thiones.
