The allenylcarbene complex [OsCl2{=CPh(η2-CH=C= CHPh)}(PPh3)2] undergoes coupling reactions with HC≡CSiMe3 and PhC≡CC≡CPh to produce the fulvene complexes [OsCl2{η6-C5H2(Ph) (SiMe3)(=CHPh)}(PPh3)] and [OsCl2{η 6-C5H(Ph)2(C≡CPh)(=CHPh)}(PPh 3)], respectively.
