THE REACTIONS OF AMINO AND THIO DERIVATIVES OF POLYFLUORINATED β-DIKETONES WITH AMINES

A study was carried out on the aminolysis of isomeric polyfluorinated β-aminovinylthiones and monothio-β-diketones with geminal fluoroalkyl and mercapto groups. β-Aminovinylthiones react with amines at the enamine electrophilic site, while monothio-β-diketones react at the electrophilic site attached to the nonfluorinated substituent.Intrachelate prototropic tautomerism is presumably one of the factors responsible for the reaction regiospecificity.
