Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1092-69-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,0,9 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1092-69:
(6*1)+(5*0)+(4*9)+(3*2)+(2*6)+(1*9)=69
69 % 10 = 9
So 1092-69-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A highly enantioselective Darzens reaction between diazoacetamides and aldehydes catalyzed by a (+)-pinanediol-Ti(OiPr)4 system

Liu, Gang,Zhang, Daming,Li, Jian,Xu, Guangyang,Sun, Jiangtao

, p. 900 - 904 (2013/02/25)

A highly efficient enantioselective Darzens reaction of aldehydes with diazoacetamides catalyzed by a (+)-pinanediol-Ti(OiPr)4 system has been developed. The cis-glycidic amides were obtained in high yields and with moderate to excellent enantioselectivity (up to 99%).

Extraction and Spectrophotometric Determination of Cobalt(II) as Mixed Chelate Complex with p-Nitrobenzoylacetanilide and Sulphocyanide

Mukherjee, Goutam Kumar,Das, Jyotirmoy

, p. 70 - 71 (2007/10/02)

Cobalt(II) has been determined by extracting with p-nitrobenzoylacetanilide in presence of ammonium sulphocyanide into isobutylmethylketone and measuring the absorbance at 625 nm against solvent blank. Thus, 3 to 50 μg of cobalt has been determined with a relative standard deviation of +/- 0.92percent.The extracting pH of 3 to 4 is maintained by KCl-HCl buffer. The determination is possible in the presence of 37 metal ions commonly associated with cobalt in ores and alloys. Thus, not only the selectivity of the reaction is high, but also the sensitivity, 0.3 ppm, is appreciable.
