A dimer of glucosyl esters of A-ring oxygenated 19α-hydroxyursolic acids was isolated from the leaves of Rubus coreanus together with the monomers of the related glucosyl esters. The structure of this compound, named coreanoside F1, was elucidated by chemical and spectroscopic methods. The significance of coreanoside F1 in the identification of the source plants of an oriental traditional medicine "Bog-bun-ja" (= Fu-pen-zi) is discussed.

, p. 1748 - 1754 (2007/10/02)
From the whole plant of Trachelospermum asiaticum, sixteen triterpenoid glycosides were isolated.Eight of them, including two known glucosides, suavissimoside R1 and the 3,28-bis-O-glucoside of 19α-hydroxyasiatic acid, were determined to be 28-O- or 3,28-bis-O-glucosides of 19α-hydroxyursolic acid derivatives, except for one 28-O-xylosyl-glucoside.The most major compound was the 28-O-glucoside of 2α,3β,19α,23,24-pentahydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid.Keywords---Trachelospermum asiaticum; Apocynaceae; 19α-hydroxyursolic acid derivative; triterpenoid 28-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl ester; trachelosperoside; trachelosperogenin; 2α,3β,19α-trihydroxyurs-12-ene-24,28-dioic acid; 2α,3β,19α,23,24-pentahydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid; 2α,3β,19α,24-terahydroxyurs-12-ene-23,28-dioic acid; suavissimoside R1
