-
Paragraph 0096; 0121-0123, (2016/10/08)
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a compound having a trifluoromethyl group and a group containing an ethereal oxygen atom on the same carbon atom of an ethylene structure in a short process. SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a compound represented by the following formula (1) comprising reacting 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene and a compound represented by a formula Rn(OH)n in the presence of a base: Rn[-OC(CF3)=CH2]n (1) [where, n represents 1, 2, or 3; Rn represents an n-valent hydrocarbon group, or an n-valent hydrocarbon having a substituent which is inactive in the reaction of the 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene and the compound represented by the formula Rn(OH)n]. 2,3,3,3-Tetrafluoroprop-1-ene, known as the environmentally benign fluorinated olefin recently employed for the car air-conditioning system, was proved to follow the addition-elimination sequence at its C2 position by the reaction of a variety of alkoxides, forming CF3-containing vinyl ethers in excellent yields.
