The present invention discloses a new synthesis method of a fulvestrant related substance (chemical name: 2-bromo-7alpha-[9-(4,4,5,5,5-pentafluoropentylsulfinyl)nonyl]estra-1,3,5(10)-triene-3,17beta-diol). According to the synthesis method, 3,17beta-bis(2-tetrahydropyranyloxy)-7alpha-[9-(4,4,5,5,5-pentafluoropentyl)sulfenylnonyl]estra-1,3,5(10)-triene-6-one is used as a starting raw material, and deprotection, bromination, reduction and oxidation are performed to obtain the corresponding related substance. According to the present invention, the synthesis method has advantages of simple operation, high yield and high product purity.
