The respective N-(2,3-epithiopropyl)-N'-(2,3-epoxypropyl) derivatives of imidazole-2-ones and 1,2,4-triazol-4-ones, which are a new type of monomer, were synthesized by the reaction of imidazole-2-thiones and 1,2,4-triazole-5-thiones with epichlorohydrin.
