A general and efficient palladium-catalyzed amination of 5-bromo-3-[2-(diethylamino)ethoxy]indoles has been developed. Best results are obtained in the presence of Pd(OAc)2 and 2-[di(1-adamantyl) phosphanyl]-1-phenylpyrrole as ligand.
