A novel 1D copper(II) complex derived from 2-bromo-4-chloro-6-[(2- morpholin-4-ylethylimino)methyl]phenol: Synthesis and crystal structure
Yu, Jing
, p. 348 - 351 (2014)
A novel polymeric copper(II) complex, [CuL(μ-Cl)]n · 0.25nH2O (L = 2-bromo-4-chloro-6-[(2-morpholin-4-ylethylimino) methyl]phenolate), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectrum, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal of the complex crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group Aba2, with the cell parameters a = 23.109(3), b = 20.296(2), c = 7.183(1) A, Z = 2, R 1 = 0.0487, and wR2 = 0.1105. Each Cu atom in the complex is in a square pyramidal coordination. The [CuL] units are linked via chloride bridges, forming zigzag chain propagating along the c-axis.
