Arylthiocyanates react with M(NCS)2 to give complexes of the type (SCN)2M(NCSAr)2.These compounds behave as lewis acids due to unsaturation at M(II) and further react with organic donors, viz., pyridine (py), nicotineamide (nia) and morpholine (morph) to form adducts. These complexes have been characterized and their antifungal activity has been studied.
