It is a white solid with a melting point of 85-87°C and is soluble in organic solvents. 2-AZASPIRO[4.4]NONANE-1,3-DIONE is known for its potential as a versatile intermediate in organic synthesis and can be used in the production of various functionalized heterocyclic compounds.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1124-95-4 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,1,2 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1124-95:
(6*1)+(5*1)+(4*2)+(3*4)+(2*9)+(1*5)=54
54 % 10 = 4
So 1124-95-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Spirosuccinimides as potential anticonvulsants
Tarver,Nicholson,Scott
, p. 785 - 787 (1985)
A series of spirosuccinimides was synthesized and evaluated for anticonvulsant activity. The study was designed to apply the Topliss approach to structure-activity correlations in this novel series of 2-substituted-2-azaspiro[4.4]nonane-1,3-diones and 2,4-disubstituted-2- azaspiro[4.4]nonae-1,3-diones. While no correlation was noted with the 2-substituted derivatives, a good correlation was obtained in the 2,4-disubstituted series, indicating that anticonvulsant activity was related to increasing π values. The results of these anticonvulsant tests are presented and a rational approach to the structure-activity relationships of spirosuccinimides is provided.
