Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 113392-33-9 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,1,3,3,9 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 113392-33:
(8*1)+(7*1)+(6*3)+(5*3)+(4*9)+(3*2)+(2*3)+(1*3)=99
99 % 10 = 9
So 113392-33-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

SYNTHESIS OF DIADAMANTYLARENES

The reaction of aromatic hydrocarbons with hydroxy derivatives of the adamantane series in 96percent sulfuric acid leads to the corresponding diadamantylarenes.By the use of a mixture of sulfuric and nitric acids or a solution of alkali-metal nitrates in sulfuric acid as reaction medium it is possible to obtain dicarboxyadamantylarenes directly from adamantanecarboxylic acids.
