Mono- and poly-nuclear dithiocarbamate complexes of nickel(II) containing tertiary phosphines as ligands were obtained.Depending on the nature of the phosphine and the dithiocarbamate used , square-planar , five-co-ordinate , and the unusual six-co-ordinate complexes were obtained.
