The invention belongs to the field of a preparing method of cephalosporin, in particular to a preparing method of cefozopran hydrochloride. According to the method, an intermediate cefozopran is taken as an initial reactant to research how to prepare the cefozopran hydrochloride bulk pharmaceutical chemical which is low in water content, is low in organic solvent residue and accords with requirements in JP15 (Japanese Pharmacopeia, the 15th Edition). The invention adopts the following technical solvent: (1) the cefozopran in formula IIa reacts with hydrochloric acid to generate an Ia cefozopran hydrochloride solvate by taking an organic solvent and water as a solvent; (2) triethylamine is added dropwise into the Ia solvated cefozopran hydrochloride in a water solvent to reversely prepare the cefozopran to obtain a IIb cefozopran with a qualified residual solution; (3) HCl gas is introduced to the IIb cefozopran with the qualified residual solution to obtain the cefozopran hydrochloride with qualified water content by taking an ether solvent as a reaction solvent. The purity of the final product prepared in the technical solution is more than 99.0%, solvent residue and water content both meet standards of the Pharmacopeia and the product can be directly used for medicine preparation.
