Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1140481-03-3 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,1,4,0,4,8 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1140481-03:
(9*1)+(8*1)+(7*4)+(6*0)+(5*4)+(4*8)+(3*1)+(2*0)+(1*3)=103
103 % 10 = 3
So 1140481-03-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Studies on Pt-S bonds. Methylsulfanyl-acetato, -benzoato and -phenolato complexes of the Pt(II)(PPh3)2 and Pt(II)(dppe) moieties and the crystal structure of bis-triphenylphosphine(methylsulfanylacetato)platinum(II) nitrate

Pasini, Alessandro,Rizzato, Silvia,De Cillis, Daniele

, p. 196 - 204 (2001)

Bis-triphenylphosphine and bis(diphenylphosphine)ethane platinum(II) complexes with the chelating anionic ligands methylsulfanyl-acetato (sa), -benzoato (sb) and -phenolato (sph) have been synthesised and characterised. Infrared and multinuclear NMR spectra are in accordance with chelation of these ligands through the sulfur and the anionic oxygen atoms. The structure of [Pt(PPh3)2(sa)]NO3 has been determined through X-ray diffraction and confirms chelation of sa. 1H NMR spectra suggest that the chelate ring in this compound is rigid, with the same conformation found in the solid state, while in the analogous dppe complex both chelate rings undergo inversion of conformation at room temperature.

Platinum(II) mediated Csp3-H activation of tetramethylthiourea

Fantasia, Serena,Pasini, Alessandro,Nolan, Steven P.

, p. 8107 - 8110 (2010/03/25)

The C-H activation of the methyl group of tetramethylthiourea by cis-[PtL2(NO3)2] (L = phosphine or N-heterocyclic carbene) has been investigated as a function of the ligand L. The presence of an electron-withdrawing group on the tertiary phosphine was found to promote the process. Moreover, when an excess of nitrate anion is present in the reaction mixture, the rate of C-H bond activation is retarded, suggesting the key role of an unsaturated tri-coordinate PtII species as intermediate.

Synthesis and characterization of cis-[(PPh3)2Pt{9-MeAd(-H),N6N7}]X (X- = NO3, PF6): The first example of a platinum(II) complex containing the N6,N7-chelated 9-methyladenine anion

Montagner, Diego,Longato, Bruno

, p. 1676 - 1680 (2009/01/30)

Reaction between the binuclear hydroxo complex cis-[(PPh3)2Pt(μ-OH)]2X2 (X- = NO3, 1a; PF6-, 1b) and the model DNA base 9-methyladenine (9-MeAd) leads to the formation of the mononuclear species cis-[(PPh3)2Pt{9-MeAd(-H),N6N7}]X (X- = NO3, 2a; PF6, 2b), in which the nucleobase chelates the Pt(II) ion with the N6 and N7 atoms. The coordination mode of the nucleobase has been determinated through a multinuclear (1H, 31P, 13C, 15N and 195Pt) NMR analysis and the nuclearity of the complex has been obtained by E.S.I. mass spectrometry. 2 represents the first example of an isolated platinum complex in which the NH2-deprotonated adenine exhibits this binding mode.
