One-pot synthesis of isocyanides from alcohols

A one-pot reaction of alcohols with trimethylsilyl cyanide and methanesulfonic acid with subsequent neutralization by triethylamine and dehydration by tosyl chloride and pyridine gave the corresponding isocyanides in moderate-to-high yields.
