The reactions of 1-diethylamino-(4-methyl)-3-penten-1-ynes with α,β-unsaturated aldehydes (cinnamaldehyde, phenylpropiolaldehyde) take place at the carbonyl group with the formation of the corresponding dialkylamides of the dienoic or vinylacetylenic acids.With methyl vinyl ketone the alkenylamines react by a mechanism of the -cycloaddition type with the formation of 2-diethylamino-3-alkenyl-6-methyl-4H-pyrans.
