Imidazole ring

A five-membered aromatic ring with two nitrogen atoms, contributing to the compound's stability and potential biological activity.

Carboxylic acid group (-COOH)

A functional group consisting of a carbonyl group (C=O) and a hydroxyl group (-OH), which can form hydrogen bonds and participate in acid-base reactions, influencing the compound's solubility and reactivity.

Chlorine (Cl) and fluorine (F) substituents

Halogens that are electronegative, which can influence the electronic properties of the benzyl group and affect the compound's reactivity and potential pharmaceutical applications.

Amide functional group (-CONH-)

A carbonyl group (C=O) connected to a nitrogen atom in a tetrahedral geometry, which can form hydrogen bonds and engage in coordination with metal ions, potentially affecting the compound's biological activity and solubility.

Bicyclohexylmethyl moiety

A structural motif consisting of two six-membered rings (cyclohexane) fused together with a single carbon atom connecting them, which is commonly found in biologically active compounds and may contribute to the compound's potential pharmaceutical properties.

Methyl group (-CH3)

A small alkyl group consisting of one carbon atom and three hydrogen atoms, which can provide steric hindrance and influence the compound's reactivity and solubility.

Potential pharmaceutical properties

The presence of the bicyclohexylmethyl group suggests that 1-methyl-1H-imidazole-4-carboxylic acid (3-chloro-4-fluoro-benzyl)-(3-methyl-3-aza-bicyclo[3.1.0]hex-6-ylmethyl)-amide may have potential applications in the pharmaceutical industry, although further research is needed to fully understand its potential uses and effects.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1173239-39-8 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,1,7,3,2,3 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1173239-39:
(9*1)+(8*1)+(7*7)+(6*3)+(5*2)+(4*3)+(3*9)+(2*3)+(1*9)=148
148 % 10 = 8
So 1173239-39-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

supporting information; experimental part, p. 2974 - 2976 (2010/02/28)

The type 1 glycine transporter plays an important in regulating homeostatic glycine levels in the brain that are relevant to the activation of the NMDA receptor by the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate. We describe herein the structure-activity relationships (SAR) of a structurally novel class of GlyT1 inhibitors following on a lead derived from high throughput screening, which shows good selectivity for GlyT1 and potent activity in elevating CSF levels of glycine.
