The results of vacuum sublimation, mass spectrometry study, and thermal analysis of mixed-ligand complexes (MLC) of compositions Mg(thd)2(phen) and M(thd)2(phen)2 (M = Ca, Sr, Ba; thd = dipivaloyl-methanate ion; phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) are compared with the same characteristics of homoligand complexes (HLC) of composition M(thd)2. Upon relative sublimation of MLC and HLC, the synergetic effect is found to vary from its total absence for the magnesium complexes to the maximal for Sr(thd)2(phen)2 and a decrease for the Ba(thd)2-Ba(thd)2(phen)2 system. The absence of monotonic synergetic behavior within one family of the periodic system is interpreted taking into account the peculiarities of the MLC properties and of the HLC structure, in which the molecules of 1,10-phenanthroline are involved in intermolecular bonds.
