1185039-20-6 Usage
Description
Gabapentin-d4 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of gabapentin by GC- or LC-MS. Gabapentin is a γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) analogue that acts as an anticonvulsant. It does not bind to GABA receptors, does not influence neural uptake of GABA, and does not inhibit the GABA-metabolizing enzyme, GABA transaminase. Unlike GABA, which does not pass through the blood-brain barrier, gabapentin penetrates into the central nervous system and binds to the α2δ-type voltage-gated calcium channels. Formulations containing gabapentin have been used to treat neuropathic pain caused by complex regional pain syndrome type one, cancer, and HIV as well as to control dysesthesias in patients with multiple sclerosis.

Uses
Different sources of media describe the Uses of 1185039-20-6 differently. You can refer to the following data:
1. Amino acid structurally related to -Aminobutyric Acid (GABA), designed to cross the blood brain barrier. Gabapentin-d4 can be used as an anticonvulsant.
2. Amino acid structurally related to γ-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA), designed to cross the blood brain barrier. Used as an anticonvulsant.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1185039-20-6 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,1,8,5,0,3 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1185039-20:
(9*1)+(8*1)+(7*8)+(6*5)+(5*0)+(4*3)+(3*9)+(2*2)+(1*0)=146
146 % 10 = 6
So 1185039-20-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
