A close-packed, highly insulating organic thin monolayer on Si(111)
Tanaka, Kentaro,Tanaka, Taishi,Hasegawa, Takeshi,Shionoya, Mitsuhiko
, p. 440 - 441 (2008)
A long-chain dialkylated olefin, 2C18 was found to form a close-packed, highly insulating self-assembled monolayer (SAM) on Si(111) via Si-C bond formation. The IR absorption spectra of the 2C18-SAM show that the alkyl chains are densely packed with an all-trans conformation. The threshold voltage to initiate the scanned probe oxidation (SPO) of the 2C18-SAM-covered Si(111) was ca. 9V, which is much higher than the previously reported voltages for organic monolayers on Si or SiO2/Si substrates. Synthesis and Characterization of Carboxylic Acids Bearing Poly(ethylene glycol) Chains
Satou, Motoi,Fujihara, Tetsuaki,Terao, Jun,Tsuji, Yasushi
, p. 556 - 559 (2018)
Carboxylic acids 1a and 1b bearing three poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) chains and carboxylic acid 1c bearing one PEG chain were designed and synthesized. The carboxylic acids 1a - c were fully characterized by NMR and ESI-HRMS analyses. In a Pd-catalyzed ae
Practical heavy fluorous tag for carbohydrate synthesis with minimal chromatographic purification
Goto, Kohtaro,Mizuno, Mamoru
scheme or table, p. 6539 - 6541 (2011/02/22)
A practical heavy fluorous tag 5 bound to a benzylic linker was prepared and applied to carbohydrate synthesis. The fluorous tag 5 was readily introduced to the desired hydroxyl group and carboxyl group by using various methods. Synthesis of the oligosacc
