2-(4-Arylazophenylamino)-1,4-diaminoanthraquinones were obtained for the first time by the reaction of the disulfamic ester derivative of 1,4-diaminoanthraquinone and its substituted analogs with 4-aminoazobenzenes.In the products, in contrast to the derivatives of 1-(4-arylazophenylamino)anthraquinones, the NH group interrupts the conjugation between the azo and anthraquinone fragments of the dye molecule.
