A new series of complexes of the type and have been synthesized and characterized by elemental and thermal (TGA) analysis, ir, electronic and epr spectra as well as conductivity measurements.The chelates have L as a dibasic pentadentate or hexadentate Schiff base ligand and M=Co2+, Ni2+ or Cu2+ ions.
