12013-57-9 Usage
Description
CALCIUM TELLURIDE, 99.99% is a crystalline solid with the molecular formula CaTe and a molecular weight of 167.6782 g/mol. It has a density of 4.872 g/cm3 and exhibits a rock salt structure with octahedral coordination of the Ca2+ cation. Its refractive index is 2.51, and it decomposes when heated to 1605°C. Calcium telluride can be prepared by heating the elements together in an inert atmosphere or by reacting stoichiometric quantities of Ca and Te in a pure graphite crucible in vacuum. It is commercially available in limited quantities and has found very little usage in industry.
Uses
CALCIUM TELLURIDE, 99.99% is used as a material for forming ternary tellurides in the academic field. Its usage is primarily limited to research and development purposes, as it has not found widespread application in various industries.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 12013-57-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,2,0,1 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 12013-57:
(7*1)+(6*2)+(5*0)+(4*1)+(3*3)+(2*5)+(1*7)=49
49 % 10 = 9
So 12013-57-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
