Functionally substituted Schiff bases obtained by the condensation of nitroaniline, pyrimidinylaminoaniline, 5-aminoquinoline, 5-aminoquinaldine derivatives with 4-methylformylbenzoate were studied in the reactions of sodium borohydride with acidic activators, hydrazine hydrate in the presence of Raney nickel, Raney alloy in the presence of potassium hydroxide.
