Novel derivatized alkanolamines of the following structural formula STR1 are described as useful cardiovascular agents. Most especially described is their usefulness as cardiovascular agents exhibiting an antiarrhythmic effect. Said antiarrhythmic effect is of a combination Class II/Class III variety.
