Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 121251-89-6 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,2,1,2,5 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 121251-89:
(8*1)+(7*2)+(6*1)+(5*2)+(4*5)+(3*1)+(2*8)+(1*9)=86
86 % 10 = 6
So 121251-89-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Inhibition of mutant B-Raf signaling, through either direct inhibition of the enzyme or inhibition of MEK, the direct substrate of Raf, has been demonstrated preclinically to inhibit tumor growth. Very recently, treatment of B-Raf mutant melanoma patients with a selective B-Raf inhibitor has resulted in promising preliminary evidence of antitumor activity. This article describes the design and optimization of tetrahydronaphthalene-derived compounds as potent inhibitors of the Raf pathway in vitro and in vivo. These compounds possess good pharmacokinetic properties in rodents and inhibit B-Raf mutant tumor growth in mouse xenograft models.
