Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 12137-04-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,2,1,3 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 12137-04:
(7*1)+(6*2)+(5*1)+(4*3)+(3*7)+(2*0)+(1*4)=61
61 % 10 = 1
So 12137-04-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Neutron diffraction study of magnetic ordering in the system NdSix (1.67 ≤ x ≤ 2.00)

Schobinger-Papamantellos, P.,Buschow, K. H. J.,Fischer, P.

, p. 53 - 68 (1991)

Compounds of various compositions NdSix were studied by X-ray diffraction. The homogeneity range of orthorhombic α-GdSi2 type structure was found to extend from x ? 1.75 to 1.87. By neutron diffraction we found that the Si vacancies in compounds of relatively high Si content are restricted to only one of the two crystallographic Si sites. By contrast, the Si vacancies are distributed statistically over the two Si sites in compounds of comparatively low Si content. Also the type of magnetic ordering changes drastically within the narrow homogeneity range. For high Si concentration the antiferromagnetic ordering with wave vectors [12, 0, 0] and [0, 12, 0] gives rise to the several phase transitions as a function of temperature, including incommensurate regions where the interplay of more than two wave vectors could be observed. Compounds with relatively low Si content give rise to ferromagnetic ordering.

A convenient co-reduction route to nanocrystalline neodymium disilicide

Ma, Jianhua,Gu, Yunle,Shi, Liang,Chen, Luyang,Qian, Yitai

, p. 743 - 745 (2004)

Nanocrystalline neodymium disilicide was synthesized by co-reducing anhydrous neodymium trichloride and sodium fluorosilicate with metallic sodium in an autoclave at 650 °C. The as-prepared product was characterized and studied by X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and thermogravimetric analysis.

MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF RARE EARTH DISILICIDES RSi//2.

Pierre, J.,Siaud, E.,Frachon, D.

, p. 321 - 330 (2008/10/08)

The magnetic properties of the rare earth disilicides (RSi//2) have been re-investigated. We confirm the occurrence of ferromagnetism in PrSi//2 and antiferromagnetism in GdSi//2, TbSi//2 and HoSi//2. NdSi//2 orders at T//N equals 10 K and ErSi//2 orders
