Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1221966-49-9 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,2,2,1,9,6 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1221966-49:
(9*1)+(8*2)+(7*2)+(6*1)+(5*9)+(4*6)+(3*6)+(2*4)+(1*9)=149
149 % 10 = 9
So 1221966-49-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Generation of iminyl copper species from α-azido carbonyl compounds and their catalytic C-C bond cleavage under an oxygen atmosphere

Chiba, Shunsuke,Zhang, Line,Ang, Gim Yean,Hui, Benjamin Wei-Qiang

, p. 2052 - 2055 (2010)

Figure presented A copper-catalyzed reaction of α-azidocarbonyl compounds under an oxygen atmosphere is reported where nitriles are formed via C-C bond cleavage of a transient iminyl copper intermediate. The transformation is carried out by a sequence of denitrogenative formation of iminyl copper species from α-azidocarbonyl compounds and their C-C bond cleavage, where molecular oxygen (1 atm) is a prerequisite to achieve the catalytic process and one of the oxygen atoms of O2 was found to be incorporated into the β-carbon fragment as a carboxylic acid.

Iron-catalyzed hydrogenation for the in situ regeneration of an NAD(P)H model: Biomimetic reduction of α-Keto-/α-iminoesters

Lu, Liang-Qiu,Li, Yuehui,Junge, Kathrin,Beller, Matthias

supporting information, p. 8382 - 8386 (2013/09/02)

Two irons for a smoother finish: An NAD(P)H model was regenerated readily in situ by iron-catalyzed reduction with molecular hydrogen. The subsequent biomimetic reduction of α-keto-/ α-iminoesters proceeded smoothly in the presence of an iron-based Lewis acid (LA) to provide α-hydroxyesters and amino acid esters in good to excellent yields (see scheme; NAD(P) +=nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (phosphate), TM=transition metal).
