A practical synthesis of thiourea-linked peptidomimetics, glycosylated amino acids, and neoglycoconjugates is described employing bis(benzotriazolyl) methanethione as thiocarbonylating reagent. The entire protocol is mild, efficient, high-yielding, and free from hazardous reagents.
