A new In-SiO2 composite catalyst in the solvent-free multicomponent synthesis of Ca2+ channel blockers nifedipine and nemadipine B
Affeldt, Ricardo F.,Benvenutti, Edilson V.,Russowsky, Dennis
experimental part, p. 1502 - 1511 (2012/07/30)
An In-SiO2 composite was prepared by the sol-gel method and was applied as a heterogeneous Lewis acid catalyst in the multicomponent Hantzsch synthesis of symmetrical and non-symmetrical 1,4-DHPs. The Ca2+ channel blockers nifedipine and nemadipine B were synthesized in a single step through a solvent-free protocol. P-toluene sulfonic acid catalyzed one-pot synthesis of unsymmetrical 1,4-dihydropyridines derivatives via hantzsch reaction
Peng, Hua-Nan,Peng, Xiao-Ming,Zheng, Da-Gui
experimental part, p. 1833 - 1837 (2012/01/13)
A simple, inexpensive and efficient one-pot synthesis of a series of unsymmetrical 1,4-dihydropyridines derivatives using p-toluene sulfonic acid as catalyst at room temperature was achieved in excellent yields from the four-component Hantzsch condensation reactions of various aromatic aldehydes, 1,3-cyclohexanedione, methyl acetoacetate (or ethyl acetoacetate) and ammonium acetate in a little methanol (or ethanol). The procedure possesses the advantages of short reaction time, high yields, an environmental friendly procedure as well as easy isolation of products.

Qin, Xin-Ying,Jin, Tong-Shou,Zhou, Zun-Xia,Li, Tong-Shuang
experimental part, p. 1179 - 1182 (2012/03/11)
An easy method for synthesis of substituted 5-oxo-1,4,5,6,7,8- hexahydroquinoline derivatives from 5,5-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione or 1,3-cyclohexanedione, arylaldehyde, methyl acetoacetate and ammonium acetate using silica sulfuric acid as catalyst is

Nirmal, Jay P.,Dadhaniya, Pratish V.,Patel, Manish P.,Patel, Ranjan G.
experimental part, p. 587 - 592 (2011/01/04)
An efficient and newer Hantzsch reaction for the synthesis of polyhydroquinoline derivatives have been reported via fourcomponent condensation of aldehydes, cyclic 1,3-diketones, β-keto esters, NH4OAc and catalytic amount of ionic liquid 1-Viny
