ACYL AND CARBAMOYL DERIVATIVES OF ADAMANTANE-2-SPIROAZIRIDINE, ADAMANTANE-2-SPIRODIAZIRIDINES, AND ADAMANTANE-2-SPIROOXAZIRIDINE

In the reactions of adamantane-2-spiroaziridine, adamantane-2-spirooxaziridine, and substituted adamantane-2-spirodiaziridines with acetyl and benzoyl chloride in the presence of triethylamine and also with phenyl and alkyl isocyanates the corresponding acyl and carbamoyl derivatives were obtained.The N2-substituted N1-benzoylspiroaziridines readily rearrange to the corresponding oxadiazolines, while the N-carbamoylspirodiaziridines rearrange to derivatives of triazolidinone.Acyl- and carbamoyl-substituted spirodiaziridines containing an unsubstituted NH group in the ring are transformed into the substituted hydrazones of adamantanone.
