Exemplified on a G-proteincoupled receptor (GPCR; see figure)/ G-protein model system, a specific protein-peptide interaction was analyzed by using a G-protein-derived peptide containing p-ethynylbenzoyl-modified phenylalanine. Click chemistry with a biotin propyl azide probe enabled isolation of photo-cross-linked products and facilitated mass spectrometric analysis of the protein-peptide interaction sites.
