OrthoC-H arylation of arenes at room temperature using visible light ruthenium C-H activation
Charitou, Anastasios,Greaney, Michael F.,Ivanova, Maria,Sagadevan, Arunachalam,Vuagnat, Martin,Wang, Fen
, p. 4439 - 4443 (2020)
A ruthenium-catalyzedorthoC-H arylation process is described using visible light. Using the readily available catalyst [RuCl2(p-cymene)]2, visible light irradiation was found to enable arylation of 2-aryl-pyridines at room temperature for a range of aryl bromides and iodides.
Rhodium-catalyzed oxidative C-H arylation of 2-arylpyridine derivatives via decarbonylation of aromatic aldehydes
Shuai, Qi,Yang, Luo,Guo, Xiangyu,Basle, Olivier,Li, Chao-Jun
supporting information; experimental part, p. 12212 - 12213 (2010/10/03)
A new concept for aryl-aryl coupling that involves oxidative decarbonylative coupling of aryl C-H bonds and readily available aldehydes has been developed, achieving the aryl-aryl union with complete control of reaction sites.
