Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1246819-49-7 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,2,4,6,8,1 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1246819-49:
(9*1)+(8*2)+(7*4)+(6*6)+(5*8)+(4*1)+(3*9)+(2*4)+(1*9)=177
177 % 10 = 7
So 1246819-49-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis of Deuterated Aminocaproyl Linkers

Anastasiadis, Aphrodite,Separovic, Frances,White, Jonathan

, p. 747 - 750 (2001)

Gramicidin A (gA) analogues with a biotin attached to the C-terminus by an aminocaproyl linker are used as ion channels in the AMBRI biosensor and are referred to as biotinylated gA. In order to examine the conformation and dynamics of the aminocaproyl linker by 2H solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance, the synthesis of deuterated aminocaproic acid is required. We report on the synthesis of (D10)-6-aminocaproic acid from commercially available perdeuterated cyclohexanol and its covalent attachment to the C-terminal group of gA to form gAXDXB.
