Synthesis and antimicrobial activities of 5(2' S'-disubstitutedih- Indol-3'-yl)-5h-thiazolo [4,3-b]1,3,4-oxadiazole, -1,3,4-thiadiazole, -1,2,4triazole and their derivatives

Several 5-(2', 5'-disubstituted 1H- indol-3'-yl)-5H-thiazolo[4,3-b]l,2,4- triazoles (5) -1,3,4-thiadiazoles (6) and 1,3,4-oxadiazoles (7) and their analogues were synthesized. These compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activity.

The preparation of several 4-oxothiazolin-2-yl-indol-3-yl hydrazones is described.The structure of all products was corroborated by ir, 1H-nmr and mass spectrometry.
